Best of 97 invited teams, with Shake 'n Bake BBQ in reserve — a win for the record book that leaves the power rating alone.
LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — Clark Crew BBQ won 31st Annual Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational Barbecue (JUDGES FULL) (COMPETITORS SERIES), best of 97 invited teams; Shake 'n Bake BBQ took reserve. An invite-only field, so it leaves the power rating alone and goes straight into the record book.
Across October 2019, 45 sanctioned contests were scored, across 21 states and provinces, drawing 1,182 teams to the turn-in table. Judges made 1,810 top-ten calls and handed out 34 perfect 180s. 254 teams appear in the record for the first time. The full standings run on B1.
