Best of 90 invited teams, with MAN MEAT BBQ in reserve — a win for the record book that leaves the power rating alone.
MAYETTA, Kan. — Smoked & Furious won 5th Annual KCBS World Invitational - OPEN, best of 90 invited teams; MAN MEAT BBQ took reserve. An invite-only field, so it leaves the power rating alone and goes straight into the record book.
Across August 2023, 51 sanctioned contests were scored, across 24 states and provinces, drawing 1,063 teams to the turn-in table. Judges made 1,629 top-ten calls and handed out 73 perfect 180s. 211 teams appear in the record for the first time. The full standings run on B1.
