MAYETTA, Kan. — Smoking Butt Heads won Second Annual KCBS World Invitational Barbeque Competition, best of 94 invited teams; IOWA'S SMOKEY D'S BBQ took reserve. An invite-only field, so it leaves the power rating alone and goes straight into the record book.
Across November 2020, 6 sanctioned contests were scored, across 5 states and provinces, drawing 252 teams to the turn-in table. Judges made 260 top-ten calls and handed out 12 perfect 180s. 26 teams appear in the record for the first time. The full standings run on B1.
