KANSAS CITY, Mo. — COOL SMOKE won the 2013 American Royal Invitational in Kansas City, Mo., with 700.5256 out of 720, 6.2516 points clear of T-MAC SMOKIN, the reserve grand champion. 174 teams were invited.

It was their 1st American Royal. The win was their 2nd Grand Championship of 2013. On the way they finished 26th in chicken, 4th in pork ribs, 7th in pork and 20th in brisket.

The meats went to QUAU in chicken (179.4400), BIG T'Z Q CRU in pork ribs (178.8572), Sizzlin Bones BBQ in pork (178.8572) and T-MAC SMOKIN in brisket (180).

Judges handed out two perfect 180s. The full standings run on B1.
