Smoked Pulled Pork Sliders with Sweet Heat BBQ Sauce

Pork shoulders smoked low on an offset, braised in apple juice, tossed in Sweet with a Little Heat sauce, and stacked on toasted King's Hawaiian rolls.

Method

  1. 1Season the pork shoulders generously with Bar-B-Quispice and set them on a wire rack above a foil pan to catch the rendered juices.
  2. 2Smoke at around 250°F for 7–8 hours until the pork hits 165°F internal.
  3. 3Transfer the shoulders to a pan, braise with pure apple juice, and finish in a 300°F oven until they reach 203°F internal.
  4. 4Rest the pork down to 140°F, then shred and mix with Sweet with a Little Heat BBQ Sauce.
  5. 5Build the sliders on King's Hawaiian rolls with saucy pulled pork, sliced red onion, dill pickles, and shredded cheddar.
  6. 6Butter the top buns, dust with Bar-B-Quispice, and give the sliders a quick oven toast until golden.
